Transparency, irradiation and fragility of the glass are extra accentuated, by the contradiction with materials as bronze and iron.\u00a0 The materials reinforce each other to give the fluent pattern recognizable form. All facets of the glass blend with the organic materials like carved stone or wood to result in a deeper relief block form.\u00a0 The hard, heavy and robust sides of the glass are exploited entirely to mirror the massive objects. The form and lines radiate from the glass motifs derived from the Celtic and Inuit's, the indigenous people of the North West coast of Canada.\u00a0 Van Oijen finds inspiration from historic cultural heritages that are reflected in his artistic expressions. Transparantie, uitstraling en breekbaarheid van het glas worden extra geaccentueerd door de tegenstelling met materialen als brons en ijzer. De materialen versterken elkaar om het vloeiende patroon herkenbare vorm te geven. Alle facetten van het glas vermengen zich met de organische materialen zoals gebeeldhouwde steen of hout om te resulteren in een diepere reli\u00ebfblokvorm. De harde, zware en robuuste zijkanten van het glas worden volledig benut om de massieve objecten te spiegelen. De vorm en lijnen stralen van de glasmotieven die zijn ontleend aan de Kelten en Inuit's, de inheemse bevolking van de noordwestkust van Canada. Van Oijen laat zich inspireren door historisch cultureel erfgoed dat tot uiting komt in zijn artistieke uitingen."}
