In her studio in Huizen, Hannelore makes realistic, colorful, and intense paintings. Her still lifes are inspired by the work of the Golden Age artists. Hannelore about her work: 'My still lifes are new versions of paintings from the 17th century, whereby I maintain the special atmosphere and intensify the experience. I zoom in more on the subject than is usual with traditional paintings, which makes the composition more exciting, requires more attention, and gets an impact. The painting appears larger than the actual dimensions of the canvas. The colors are vivid and intense, which makes them more appealing. Light also plays an important role.  Hannelore Houdijk afgestudeerd aan de kunstacademie St. Joost in Breda en deed daarna een masteropleiding aan de Dutch Art Instituut in Enschede. Haar enthousiasme voor het schilderen bracht haar naar China, waar ze in 2001\u00a0exposeerde. Er volgden verschillende projecten en exposities in diverse landen en in\u00a02003 ontving ze een startstipendium. In 2019 won ze de landelijke wedstrijd \u2018Schilderij van het jaar\u201d met haar schilderij \u2018Theepot in het water\u2019.\u00a0Hannelore\u00a0reeks \u2018Servies in Water\u2019 bevat symbolen van ons tijdelijk bestaan, net als de Nederlandse stillevens uit de 16-17 eeuw. Deze z.g. Vanitas stillevens werden geschilderd om de mens te herinneren aan zijn sterfelijke natuur en het eind van al ons aardse plezier. Toen werden kostbare objecten geschilderd als symbool van de vruchteloosheid van het aardse leven. Dit kun je eveneens ervaren in de schilderijen van Hannelore, maar met een moderne swing.  Hannelore over haar werk:\u00a0\u2018Ik maak eerst foto\u2019s voor mijn stillevens en ga dan schilderen.\u00a0Bij mijn laatste serie schilderijen heb ik alledaags servies buiten in de natuur in het water gelegd en gefotografeerd. De composities die daarbij ontstonden werden op een prachtige manier vervormd door het water en het zonlicht. En die foto\u2019s vormen de basis voor mijn schilderijen.\u2019\u00a0Hannelore heeft een eigen manier van schilderen ontwikkeld; van veraf lijkt het werk fotorealistisch, van dichtbij is het grof en zie je duidelijk de verftoetsen. Het werk komt zo in beweging en ziet er steeds anders uit.  Hannelore Houdijk (Pays-Bas, 1975) est dipl\u00f4m\u00e9e de l'acad\u00e9mie des beaux-arts de Breda ainsi que du Dutch Art Institut d\u2019Enschede (Master of Fine Arts, cursus international de troisi\u00e8me cycle). Son enthousiasme pour la peinture l'am\u00e8ne \u00e0 exposer en Chine, en Italie, en France, en Allemagne, en Bulgarie, en R\u00e9publique tch\u00e8que et dans divers endroits aux Pays-Bas. Hannelore r\u00e9alise des peintures surr\u00e9alistes, color\u00e9es et intenses souvent des natures mortes, inspir\u00e9es du travail des artistes n\u00e9erlandais de l'\u00c2ge d'or. Hannelore \u00e0 propos de son travail : \u00ab Mes natures mortes sont des versions contemporaines de peintures de la Vanit\u00e9 du XVIIe si\u00e8cle, dans lesquelles je maintiens l'atmosph\u00e8re particuli\u00e8re pour intensifier l'exp\u00e9rience. Je zoome davantage sur le sujet que dans les peintures traditionnelles, rendant ainsi la composition plus convaincante, impactant plus l'attention. Le tableau appara\u00eet plus grand que les dimensions r\u00e9elles de la toile. Les couleurs sont vives et intenses, ce qui les rend plus attrayantes. La lumi\u00e8re joue \u00e9galement un r\u00f4le important \u00bb. En 2019, Hannelore a remport\u00e9 le concours national 'Peinture de l'ann\u00e9e' avec son tableau 'Th\u00e9i\u00e8re dans l'eau'."}
