Baldin Ahmad <\/b>(1954, Irak) - Een Koerdische Irakese kunstenaar begon zijn studie aan het Instituut voor Schone Kunsten in Bagdad, vervolgde zijn studie aan de Academia voor Schone Kunsten in Florence en behaalde zijn PhD Modern Art (D.A.M.S) aan de Universiteit van Bologna, Itali\u00eb. Een hoogtepunt in zijn carri\u00e8re was zijn tentoonstelling in 1986 met landgenoten in het prestigieuze Palazzo dei Diamanti in Ferrara, Itali\u00eb, waar zijn schilderijen en beeldhouwwerken werden gegraveerd met vrijheidsboodschappen tegen de onderdrukking van het Iraakse regime, vooral tegen de Koerden. Zijn werk was te zien op de Bi\u00ebnnale van Veneti\u00eb in 2009 en 2011. Misschien wil je zonder aarzelen naar de provincies en steden reizen die hij schildert. Dit zijn plaatsen met een warme menselijke omgeving, of het nu dag of nacht is, of het regent of de zon schijnt. Hij geeft toe dat zulke plekken niet bestaan, want hij noemt ze denkbeeldig, misschien een thuisland vrij van onderdrukking<\/span><\/p>\n

Zijn opleiding heeft hij gevolgd in Bagdad, Florence en Rome en hij is afgestudeerd aan het Instituut voor Schone kunsten in Bagdad, Irak en aan de Academie van Schone Kunsten in Florence.
