Haar erkenning kwam met de Geert Architect Kunstprijs in Gouda in 1977, waarna ze regelmatig exposeerde in het Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam. Hout, metaal en glas worden samengebracht in een structuur die een totaalbeeld cre\u00ebert. Wubben buigt metaal, snijdt hout en voegt glas toe zodat de eenvoudigste vorm een complexe inhoud krijgt die rijk is aan associatiemogelijkheden. Veel van Fredy Wubben's grote architectonische en openbare sculpturale installaties staan door heel Nederland. In 2007 ontwierp ze het winnende ontwerp voor Glas Training van Royal Leerdam Crystal.
