In August We proudly introduce artist Hanan Najjar Zuabi with her exhibition: ‘The Road to Coexistence through Nature and Culture’

Hanan’s paintings are shown in an group exhibit from August 18 to September 30. Hanan Najjar Zuabi, born in Haifa – Israel, the Palestinian artist completed her BA in Art History and an MA in Islamic History at the Hafia University.
After working as an art teacher in Israel for years, she emigrated to the Netherlands and raised a family.  Hanan Najjar Zuabi recent abstract expressionist painting series are with liquid acrylic paint.  This impressively results in illusionary dream of three-dimensional flowers, grass and clouds.  The viewer can endlessly romanticize about the movement in her paintings, but there is more to discover in this dreamy representation of nature, color and form.
As with similiar art in Gallery McSorley, themes from nature are explored by artists as Paul Kubic, Mark Kadota, Carla Kleekamp, Ad Arma, Brigit Hultz Huttemann and Jaap Hartman. Frequently emphasized are the flexibility of nature and the impact of human actions. The story behind Hanan Najjar Zuabi’s art is one of coexistence, cultural bridging achieved through education to underline the need for self-development as the path away from the vexation of vengeance. Partial proceeds of the sale of Hanan’s paintings go to support Palestinian student art education at the academy for alternative studies in Hafia Israel. Meet artist Hanan Najjar Zuabi on August 18 in the ‘s-Gravelandse gallery from 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM.
