The silkcolor paintings of Will Kellermann have their own identity in which a sparkling play of colors and forms are created in a professional and spontaneous manner. One of her important themes is the heritage and freedom of women. Her paintings are often touching at the brim of Symbolism telling tales of the earth, people, and the mind.  

For her Silkcolor© Questions of life Kellermann used a silk embroidered with shiny thread. Will Kellermann states: “I envisioned birds whispering on woven textures and I transferred my fantasy birds to emerge fluttering on the silk canvas. I worked with the opaque pearl paint for the crazy, colorful and alien birds to pop up everywhere, from shiny, sparkling small round areas of color, which I created. Birds are scattered everywhere on my painting. It started with a swan, then a dancing bird, a butterfly bird and a seahorse bird. Actually one too candy bird, a magic ball bird and a ghost bird.  As the young girl saw these fantastic birds and wondered why they were existed for her. She turned to her mother to ask for an explanation. The mother told loving that these birds have come to fly from another world, a fantasy world where everything is beautiful, is colorful and hopeful. She tells her daughter that she must continue to cherish that world, a world full of hope and love, which is not forgotten as one grows older.

 The deep and rich colors are obtained by painting transparent colors layer upon layer, using specially developed techniques. Will Kellermann uses high-quality China silks as a canvas. Her flamboyant Silkcolors© are unique and show light and depth in a brilliant and magical way. Her paintings are held by collectors in Europe, the Middle East, and America and she won several prestigious prizes. The title of her book “The Romantic Adventurism of Will Kellermann”

De puurheid van zijde inspireert Will Kellermann tot uitingen van diepere gevoelens. Zij ontdekt zichzelf in de mystiek van de wereld, de mens en de geest. Haar unieke Silkcolors spreken van dromen, geheimen en onvermoede krachten in onze natuur. In de vele lagen verf herkennen we de lagen van de ziel, lichtend, kleurrijk, open en intiem. Zij zegt: ”Zijde heeft een eigen wil, het levend materiaal fluistert mij beelden in die ik met de eigenschappen van het edele materiaal en speciale technieken tot unieke taferelen verwerk”.

Bij Questions of life, Silkcolor © zegt Kellermann “heb ik een met glanzend draad geborduurde zijde genomen.  Deze speciale zijde fluisterde mij vogels in en ik zag overal fantasie- vogels
fladderen op het canvas. Ik begon met de opaak parelmoerverf te spelen. Er ontstonden overal gekke, kleurrijke en buitenaardse vogels, die ik creëerde met glanzende, sprankelende kleine ronde kleurvlakjes. Zij verspreidden zich overal op mijn schilderij. Het begon met een zwaan, daarna ontstonden een dansende vogel, een vlindervogel en een zeepaardvogel. Zowaar ook een snoepvogel, een toverbal- en een spookvogel. Een jong meisje zag deze fantastische vogels en vroeg zich af waarom zij die zag. Zij wendde zich tot haar moeder om uitleg te vragen. De moeder vertelde liefdevol dat deze vogels uit een andere wereld zijn komen vliegen, een fantasie wereld waar alles mooi, kleurrijk en hoopvol is. Zij zegt tegen haar dochtertje dat zij die wereld moet blijven koesteren, een wereld vol hoop en liefde, die vaak vergeten wordt als men ouder wordt.

De flamboyante kunstwerken vertellen over gevoelens van bevrijding en magie. Licht en donker gaan meebewegen in de vormen en lijnen, de stralende kleuren creëren dieptewerking. Haar schilderijen raken aan het Symbolisme, vertellen een romantisch avontuur dat ons alledaags leven ontstijgt. Het werk hangt wereldwijd en won prestigieuze Awards.
